How to Choose Big LED Display
LED Display contribute to reduce installation costs by adjusting the right viewing distance and pixel pitch.
Undoubtedly, you are able to select a display with fine depiction by choosing an LED with a fine pixel pitch while in the installation on rooftop of a building, for example, the distance between viewers and the display (visual distance) is long that it becomes over-engineered that detailed depiction collapses.
Also, the required brightness actually varies depending on the installation conditions- whether it is indoor, outdoor, or outdoors plus being exposed to direct external light or in the shade.
It is crucial to select “high-brightness LED display” if it is directly exposed to external light, and “outdoor” when it is exposed to water droplets even it is installed indoor.

Pixel pitch
The distance between LEDs is called “pixel pitch”. The smaller the pixel pitch, the higher the definition of the screen.
For the same display size, a smaller pixel pitch means a higher density of LEDs per area, and the creation of high-resolution image is thus feasible.
For the same pixel pitch, the larger the display size, the higher the resolution- yet, the same viewing distance doesn’t change the appearance (roughness and fineness) of the image indeed.
Minimum Distance of Distinct Vision

The distance between the LED display and the viewer is called the "visual distance". In the case when the viewing distance is short, if the distance between the LEDs (pixel pitch) is coarse, images become be rough and difficult to see, it is hence necessary to select an appropriate pixel pitch according to the viewing distance.
The relationship between the minimum distance of distinct vision and the pixel pitch is determined by the shortest viewing distance (mm) ÷ 1000 = appropriate pixel pitch (mm).

[Example] Minimum distance of distinct vision 10m = Appropriate pixel pitch 10mm
Minimum distance of distinct vision 3m = proper pixel pitch 3mm

We recommend ultra-high-definition LED for displays installed in showrooms for brand-building rather than pixel pitches that might be affected by the viewing distance as the vision could be much more impressive.

LED Controller
Different from many other general displays, the size and resolution of LED Display is not affected by the installation location at all so an exclusive controller with the function of enlarging/ cropping images according to the size and aspect ratio of the screen is hence required. The quality of the projected image depends not only on the performance of the LED display but also on the descriptive power of the controller.
